Nowadays wood tile are manufactured with a durable polyurethane which means cleaning is easy. It does not mean your tile will be anti scratch all the time. Especially house with high flow traffic, you need to start to pay attention to your flooring.
Wood Tile Flooring
You need the following item to begin your wood tile flooring maintenance:
- Microfiber cloth
- Clear, water-based polyurethane
- Wax touch-up stick
- Clean rag
- Liquid scratch cover
Done with the preparation? Good. Let us move on the next step. Take your sandpaper and gently rub it on the part where the floor is noticeably scratched. Do it until the polyurethane and the scratches are removed. Wipe the dirt with the microfiber cloth, make sure it’s really clean. Next apply the polyurethane keep it out from hazard for at least 24 hours.
Second way to clean your wood tile flooring is by using the Wax touch-up stick. You can easily find one of these on your Hardware stores or Do It Yourself store. Find the wax that match your wood tile’s color. The wax can be used to hide the scratch. Once you attain it, Drag the wax on the floor where the scratch exist then use the dry sponge to make it even.
Another way to clean your wood tile flooring is by applying the Liquid scratch cover. The Liquid scratch cover will be cover your scratch and make the scratch into the same shade as your flooring. You can find the Liquid scratch cover in hardware store or Do It Yourself store. Apply the cover liquid to a clean rug and the rub it to the scratched are. Use another rag to clean the excess liquid and wait until it dry before walking over it.
